    Desktop File Icon Mystery


    For some unknown reason, some of my .pdf files show a little 16x16 mini icon on the bottom right corner.
    Why only some do and others don't is a mystery I'm trying to figure out!
    If you already know what's going on, please let me know. Thx!

    Hadn't noticed it but I have one similar, only thing comes to mind is it shows the icon or logo of the program associated with the type or that created the file.

    My thoughts too, but then why only 'some' of the same file types present this icon anomaly?

    I'm updating a different Notebook now and copied a .pdf to the Desktop, not yet seeing any change.

    It's the Adobe logo:

    But my PDFs all show a similar icon, no thumbnail...

    If you have Adobe Acrobat installed, Adobe identifies this .PDF file as being associated with Adobe and they place their logo on it.

Mystery tray icon...

I have noticed a tray icon that I don't recognise. If I hover over it there is no information and if I click it nothing (appears) to happen. There is no right-click menu for it either. How can I identify it and deal with it?
I have created a small file in Notepad and saved it on the desktop. The icon just shows a blank icon, rather than the proper icon image it used to show. Every other desktop icon shows properly. Please advise a fix for this. Win 10 Home.

Hi. Can anyone tell me what this icon is for? (Top-right) 60316 All the others shown, when mouse-over (hover) present some text info but this icon nothing. I've tried left-click, double-click, right-click ... nothing. T.I.A. :)
