Not worried about the recovery partition, but that still leaves 6 other Primary partitions.
Even my desktop has only 3 partitions. I can run disk cleanup on the c drive TI10664006, not sure how to do a cleanup for the other partitions.
Instead of cloning, make a backup image and restore only the 3 major partitions that you think you will need into the SSD. You may need to do some trial and error to pinpoint the correct partitions to restore. It could work.

Just to wrap up my thread. I had decided to go ahead with the 7 partitions, and started the cloning process with Macrium Reflect version 8, however it would keep failing with an error 9 read error cyclic redundancy problem. I ran chkdsk multiple times, but could not get past that error message. SFC was clean as was DISM. I was not running any anti-virus program.

I downloaded Acronis (for Crucial drives as this is a Crucial MX500), and the clone process went right straight through. Installed the cloned SSD, and booted into Windows 10.
The hard drive problem of almost always running at 100% has been cleared. So I'm thinking the original hard drive had some kind of problem.
The only issue I have seen so far is with MS Edge. When I open a page I lose the top part of the browser page with no way to back up, refresh or go home, and the tabs disappear. After I remove some of the old files (for the wife) I'll try resetting Edge.

As an absolute minimum, you need the fat32 partition and the C drive. Any others are "nice to have".

To get a fullY MS Windows compliant layout, OP should run reagentc /info from an admin command prompt to find which is active partition.

On my PC, the active recovery partition is partition 4 which looks like the 3rd partition from disk management, but is actually fourth (as there is a hidden msr partition). It is easier to use the reflect gui as that shows the MSR partition.

OP should run reagentc /disable from an admin command prompt, and then the winre.wim file of whichever is the active recovery partition gets copied to the windows\system32\recovery partition.

Then all OP needs to do is image backup the EFI partition, the hidden 16 MB MSR partition, and the C drive partition, and OPTIONALLY the recovery partition identified from the reagentc /info command i.e. 4 partitions only.

Then restore image to SSD. It is easier to just ignore the recovery partition but if you image it, then the final layout will be 100% in compliance with MS Windows UEFI configuration.

Finally, then run reagentc /enable to reinstate winre.wim

OP may then need to just do a quick tidy up of partition sizes using minitool partition wizard free. It can all be done from the Reflect GUI - easy with V8, slightly tricker with V7.
