    Why would anyone attempt to replace Windows 10 with Windows 11?

    Windows 10 works just fine (despite the spyware).

    Windows 11 is just Windows 10 ... but with a fresh new set of defects, newly improved spyware, and a more robust mechanism to force updates upon you. And, as the OP discovered ... Windows 11 changes things that don't need to be changed.

    If you're buying a new PC then sure ... you're stuck with Windows 11.
    But on your existing Windows 10 PC ... why change?
    It's like sticking a sharp knife ... into your own eye ... deliberately! Why?????

    Personally, I don't DO cloning.
    I make a backup and restore it to where ever I want.

    As for the error: 0xc0000225 ...it indicates missing boot files.
    I found a way.

    @Hairy Scot

    I think you should record your process on customizing your Windows 11 here allowing others to see your way of doing it and your struggles along the way.

    The first hurdle was cloning my W10 to a second partition on my SSD.
    Achieved that yesterday after reading "Cloning W10 partition" in Backup and Restore.
    Upgraded that partition to W11, so now the fun begins.
    I will record my travails in the customisation thread.
