Backslash symbol on Desktop of Windows 10

    Windows 10 - 19044.1415
I have suddenly become aware of an isolated backslash symbol on my desktop. I can't click on it with either right or left keys. It seems to be just to the right of any icons I place at the top left of the screen.
Restarting the computer has no effect - it's still there.
If I use PrtScn or the snipping tool to capture an image it does not show in the image!!
I'm thinking it might be some sort of a graphics artifact?
    Has anyone any thoughts/ideas?

I'm ashamed to confess that the "problem" was a short hair on the screen lyingf just at the correct angle!!!

Don't be ashamed. I had the same problem couple years ago when the 6-month session of chemotherapy caused hair loss, it went everywhere when it fell out. Still hasn't all come back.
