Window media player codec problems

    Window media player codec problems


    I have downloaded and installed windows 10 codec from STANDARD Codecs for Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 but yet im not able to switch sound or subtitles from my .MKV files, does anyone know on what am i doing wrong and how can i solve the issue?

    Use pot player. BTW win 10 sucks for video players. Most will crash after 30 minutes or so. Stick to win 8 or 7 if you want flawless playback.

    thats a very very good video player and thank you very much for suggesting it, I will be using this instead of WMP for now. But I really wish to fix the WMP in being able to play my MKV files.
    The weird part is every MKV file i had on my computer before upgrading to 10 from 8.1 the codecs on those work fine but not on any more new MKV files that I have gotten after upgrading to 10.
