What is 'My organisation?
I don't have a (relevant) organisation so why does Windows say some settings etc are managed by it?

This is simply Windows-speak to tell you that there are policies defined that have some impact on update (e.g. "don't download device drivers" will cause this to appear). Doesn't matter if you belong to an organization or not, you'll see something like this:
Think of it as a feature of how Windows works. Most of the time policies come from the top down, so this will be correct. But for individual users, families, and small businesses, it's usually wrong.

Hello @clayto,
This normally means that someRegistry Settings
have beenAdded/Modified
, either by editing theRegistry
or throughGPEdit
. Have you done or applied ANY of these, and if so, can you remember what they were?
Did the message appear when you were doing ANYTHING withWU
?
I hope this helps.
Thanks all ---- so its signifince to me seems to be that it is nothing to worry about or do anything about, which at the moment is welcome news!
