    Application windows all open off-monitor

I was using two monitors until last week, but for various reasons I have gone back to one... I have found a couple of applications which now open off-screen... I have managed to get them back by holding down the shift key and right-clicking the programme icon on the taskbar and choosing 'Move' - which you can do with the arrow keys.

So far, so good: but these programmes also have separate 'daughter' sub-windows (options windows and so on), which still open off-screen and I have no idea how to bring those back. I tried moving the main window to all corners of the monitor, but no luck. Anyone able to help please?

    Many thanks.

Thanks.. unfortunately none of the suggestions work when a secondary window is open, as described.

Hook the 2nd monitor back up and open all the programs, make sure none go to the 2nd, if so drag them back and close them.

    Done.

After you unhook the 2nd monitor, make sure windows only sees and verifies 1.

I would have done that, but I upgraded the PC this week and the new M/B (HDMI & DisplayPort only) will no longer support my other monitor (DVI)

    Display port to DVI adaptor.

Pretty strange you`re having issues with a brand new setup, did you put the drive from your other setup on this new board ?

Should have said all this in your opening post.

    Hi,

When you had the second monitor connected. Have you enabled under "Multiple displays", the switch for "Show taskbar on all displays" ?

If it's Enabled... Try to disable it.
