WIndows 10 Settings Window odd size/position

We have a couple of Lenovo Ideapad laptops each running Windows 10 Home 20H2.

One one of them, when you click on Start > Settings (icon), the settings window pops up and it's stuffed in the upper left corner and undersized with horizontal and vertical scroll bars. I can manually resize and reposition the window. But when I close and reopen it, it's back to it's default, inconvenient size and position.

Is there a way to make this work as desired, which is to remember size and position, or at least default to something sensible? I've had several Windows 10 PCs and laptops and this is the first time I've seen the settings window not pop up in the middle and with appropriate size.

    Hiya,

When you "manually resize and reposition the window," do you get a title bar with the minimize, maximize, and close icons in the upper right? If so, I'll suggest some gymnastics that might work to register the Xs and Ys in the registry.

Seems like a Windows glitch or bug. Has the problem just started to happen? If so could a recent Windows update have caused it?

Maybe try updating all drivers and see if updating to Windows 21H1 will fix it.
