Power, Screen saver, and Sleep settings have no affect

I have just recently done a clean install of Win 10. This install is the only thing on this computer at this time. I was surprised to see the monitor still on in the morning after the install. From Settings > Power and Sleep I set the screen off after 10 minutes and sleep after 4hrs. In the screen saver settings I changed the setting to wait 6 minutes. Pressed Apply and Save. None of these settings are actually happening. System specs below.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer.

    Hello @Heatstroke,

NOT that it should make a difference, but is the OS Activated?

Run the following commands to see if anything stands out. Copy ALL the below AT ONCE into a CMD Prompt and press <Enter> . . .

    Code:

    powercfg -DeviceQuery Wake_Armed
    powercfg -DeviceQuery Wake_From_Any
    powercfg -DeviceQuery Wake_Programmable
    powercfg -LastWake
    powercfg -List
    powercfg -Requests
    powercfg /RequestsOverride
    powercfg -WakeTimers

    • When the above has finished processing . . .

[1] Right-click on the title bar of the Administrator: Command Prompt Window > Edit > Select All.
[2] Right-click on the title bar of the Administrator: Command Prompt Window again > Edit > Copy.

    • Paste the results into your post using the [CODE] tags . . .

[3] In your post, click the Hashtag icon #.
[4] Click INSIDE the [CODE]Here[CODE] tags and press the Ctrl + V keys together.

    • In your post it will look like this . . .

    Code:

    <<< Results here >>>

    I hope this helps.

    Hey Paul,

Thank you for the reply and detailed instructions.
Windows was activated with a digital license. I assume from previous installation.
Followed your instructions. Results follow. I don't know how to interpret, so please, if you have time let me know what it is your see in the results.

    Thanks,

    Hey Paul,
I'm trying this again. Two things you should know.
    1) I am doing this on a different computer than I am posting on so I am transferring the info via copy paste in Notepad.
    2) On the first "Right Click > select all", all I get is the last line. Had to "Right Click > select all" twice before "copy" to get all the info.
I have no idea why the info pastes as a single line without returns in the first post. It seems okay this time in the preview.
In any case I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Heat

Your Device specifications give RAM as 2gb.
Your My Computer specifications give RAM as 16gb.
    Which is correct?
    2gb is too low.

    Hey Joe,
Thanks for your input. This is an older desktop that originally came with Win 7 installed. According to the documentation it has 4GB of DDR3 system memory. Not sure where you picked up the 16GB but I certainly see the 2GB in the "About" screen. Am I correct in assuming that you recommend installing more Ram?
    Thanks again,

    Heat

Type this in CMD Prompt and press <Enter> > systeminfo | findstr /C:"Total Physical Memory"

    I hope this helps.
