    Hello Ben,
Ads pay for the site to run and discussing ad blocking is against forum rules FYI. I've been reminded of that several time, so be careful.

What he said. Talking about add blocking will get you a time out of ban on most forums. Stick around and I'm thinking they will lessen a lot. I'm a long term member and I'm not seeing them. Just be patient.

I don't think they're ads per say but allowed notifications possibly from another opened tab. In Edge - settings - cookies and site permissions, should show a list of sites that are blocked or allowed notifications. I've only three listed now.

You can also click on the lock icon in the address bar of an open tab and select site permissions and then disable notifications.

Your browser should have similar settings.

As mentioned be cannot talk about ads as seen in your browser. (Except for notifications as posted above)

    However review this:

#12 from https://www.tenforums.com/misc.php?do=showrules and I've forgotten this a few times myself, so nothing personal here, Ben

    Hi Ben,

Would you be referring to the small window that appears in the lower right corner every time an email arrives or a program changes or are you referring to popup ads on your browser?

For actual notifications, if you click the icon a larger menu will open.

In the upper right corner of the new menu window, click manage notifications.

This will produce a notifications & actions menu. You could turn-off this option, if that suits you better. Then new emails or app changes won't bombard you with update notifications.
