    Lock desktop icons Windows 10 20H2


    Hi All,

    Can I lock my desktop icons in 20H2?

    Not sure what you mean by "lock". They can free float (position) or stay aligned in columns/rows. What do you mean by "lock"?

    here are the available options if you right click a blank space on the desktop.

    Hi, By lock I mean so they don't more around when I save something to my desktop.

    Sounds like you may have auto-arrange checked off. If so, uncheck it from the options like I show.

    Ah, it wasn't auto arrange, that was not checked it was auto align icons to grid. When I unchecked it that sorted the issue. Thanks for the help.
