Cannot drag and drop 64 bit windows 10 into 32 bit application

    Long story short.

Had a machine become useless due to certificates.

Dusted off a Windows 10 machine, 64 bit. Version 1909. It's an upgraded Windows 8.1 box.

Currently stripped of most of the excessive software that is usually bundled with windows, only remaining items are the unremovables.

Only programs that are user installed are Firefox (64), Thunderbird (64), and Adobe Audition (32).

Double clicking on an audio file works, Windows launches Audition and the file loads.

Clicking more files loads them into that instance of Audition.

Cannot drag and drop a file into Audition.

Works just fine if I drag the files into Media Player.

    What am I overlooking?

I don't use that application but I saw this solution in the Adobe forum
Unable to drag and drop audio files - AdobeForums
    - This user stopped running Audition as Admin then drag n drop worked again.

The thread is dated 2016 but it might still be worth a try.

I could not find any reference to drag n drop in the relevant section of the Audition User Guide

    All the best,
    Denis

Sadly, the only difference between the current version and the version I am using is the version number. That gives me no reason to spend more money with Cheapskate Product Designers.
