I made an automated one-click fix.
ESET_FolderViewSettingsFix.zip
If you are using a 64-bit Windows 10, please use run_64bit.bat
-or-
If you are using a 32-bit Windows 10, please use run_32bit.bat
Now I have another problem. After change in registry this 2 keys, Firewall in my windows defender and eset shows, that is disabled and I can't enable it. Once for 10 seconds windows shows notifications about this problem. I restore permissions in registry and doesn't help.
Sorry for my bad English
I have read this post with interest ... I currently do not use ESET but have been seriously considering replacing my current AV suite (I use NIS/NS which is about to expire). I have not installed a AV on my W10 yet, I wanted to do some research first to ensure the AV products were fully W10 compatible. I'm curious, has this issue with ESET/W10 influenced your opinions on ESET? Would you still recommend it based upon your past experiences?
If this reply belongs to a new thread, let me know, but am looking for responses based on this current issue with ESET.
As for me, this problem does not change my opinion on the product. I'm running my protection with Eset for a lifetime, at least 18 years and I've never had a single virus.
And it's light, does not require special knowledge, even the basic setup runs smoothly.
I work at the PC 12 hours a day and I surf the web anywhere
