Are you asking for the trojan?

    If so,
9/16/2015 6:58:28 PM Real-time file system protection a variant of MSIL/Injector.LWM trojan cleaned by deleting - quarantined Event occurred on a new file created by the application: C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe

9/16/2015 6:59:23 PM Real-time file system protection file a variant of Generik.MTVHXQE trojan cleaned by deleting - quarantined Event occurred on a new file created by the application: I:\Downloads\Programs\roboform\RoboFormInstaller.exe.

And I notice only now the trojans are two different, occured in the same moment, when I was installing Roboform with the Chrome extension from a 7zip file.
Apparently, I don't have those files before when this folder view problem started.
So I guess it's not that for me.

That's for sure: I think it's a generic antivirus's action that triggers the problem, not the specific case of a virus or trojans.
In my case is something found on a free program, but maybe something different for you.

Lets gather all facts we know about it.
    1. I noticed everybody with this problem is using NOD / ESET antivirus
    2. There is also some kind of trojan virus.
That is all we know for now.
In my case, there was perfectly hidden win32/obfuscator.xz virus. After 12 hours I managed to remove it thanks to this 7step guide: Remove VirTool:Win32/Obfuscator.XZ (Virus Removal Guide)
I recommend to everyone download Microsof Safety Scaner (Microsoft Safety Scanner - Free Virus Scan with the Microsoft Safety Scanner
) right now and start full scan (if you cant open this link, it means you have malware in your computer and its not going to let you download it).
Note: ESET, nortron, avast, avg etc. will never find it.

My icons and folders still doesnt work. I think trojan has damaged windows and there is no way how to restore it without REINSTALL WINDOWS.

    Hello guys,

The issue is back on my pc today. Looks like its a virus that makes something to system files or registry settings, that is related to folder view settings and desktop shortcuts settings.

Eset antivirus couldn't help nor detected any virus in my pc. Even torjan removal tools like roguekiller, malwarebytes showed any signs but I'm sure its a virus that is doing this. It happened when I plugged in a pendrive of my friend. I remember something had happened before after that I had to reset my PC.

Still struggling to find a which is that virus and what is that its breaking.

    Thanks...
    Best Regards
Try ADWCleaner from bleepingcomputer.com. It's safe to use.

Using only 1 software to remove complicated virus is not enough. Each software is good only in 1 thing. I reccomend to use , first RKill for terminating all malicious processes , then Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but do not restart computer after RKill and RogueKiller as last that will terminate rootkit, registry keys and any other malicious files.

Oh... This is what almost exactly happened
to me before my PC started to have this problem
    first time.

What kind of ESET software do you install?

    Mine is ESS 9 Beta.
It is not Eset. I removed their software and still have the problem on my desktop. Two other computers, Win 10 and Eset not affected.

I'm having the same problem. I do not think that due to the virus. I wonder why that is and how to solve kayaklan. This is bothering me.

I know that many people experience this problem, but I did not see who can solve.

Note: I am using NOD32 Antivirus (Eset Smart Security 8) to me.

Windows 7 X64 Auto Arrange Desktop Problem Solved solution to our problem but Iam afraid it works only for win7, didnt find registry for me. Maybe you will have better luck guys.

Iam deffinitly sure problem is in registry. Trojan damaged profile registry, if you remove trojan its nice but registry will be still damaged.... Question is which one are the right one?
