    Advent 5711 Laptop

I bought this cheap and old laptop. And at the risk of sounding stupid. What do these blue lights/symbols mean? There's an envelope, Wi-Fi symbol and exclamation mark.

Can't upload a photo as it won't work.

    Presumably you mean these:

(Sorry, poor quality original from internet).

Note this started with XP, and I see reports of people trying to use Vista on it and no Wi-fi drivers found.

There is no such thing as Advent; it is just a brand name used by the DSG Group (PC World, Currys, Dixons etc.) to rebrand computers they buy from other manufacturers.

What blue lights/symbols? On the laptop case or on screen?

"There's an envelope, Wi-Fi symbol and exclamation mark." Where?????
Does it work or not? Can you enter BIOS?

The three blue symbols. I wonder what they meant.

There seems no review, no unboxing video, no manual I can find. Best experiment.. and it's possible without appropriate utilities they may not now work.
