Windows 10 V 2004 issues with TPM and various apps

I have been trying various options for over 2 days to get a clean install of Win10-V2004 to work properly and it is getting a bit tedious.

The previous Windows Ver 1909 ran fine on the same board. In testing the latest Windows V2004, a clean install seemed at first to be fine. Until it came to Office 365 which installs but refuses to run properly with errors that seem to point to the TPM module or lack thereof.

It has been this was for years and I never had a single issue until I loaded Win10-V2004 as a clean install.
Researching the issues on the web, I can find a lot of advice on how to "fix" the problem after the fact but none of it seems to help. I am ready to just drop the whole thing and go back to V1909 (which was one of the suggestions) but I hate to not know "Why" all the fuss with the TPM on W10-V2004 and whether or not this could present problems for all future versions of Win-10 going forward.

Looking at devices I don't even show a listing for a "Security Device" in Dev Mgr. I left the bios settings on stock defaults.
I guess I never gave much thought to the possibility of a Mobo having a slot to add a TPM as most systems i have to deal with are laptops that either had one soldered in or didn't.

My question is has anyone else run across anything similar and what is the best way to handle this if I want to keep things pretty much as I had them. I dont mind going back to V1909 but not sure how long I can force things to stay there. Whatever the problem is, it causes Office 365 (especially Outlook) to fail to install or run

There are examples of issues with 2004:

Do you haven an image or anything pointing to a TPM issue? Kind of unusual to have "Office" complain of a TPM issue. That said, did you install a TPM module your self, or did you enable "Intel Platform Trust Technology" (a form of TPM) in the BIOS)? If either is no, there shouldn't be any TPM Issues.

Please post a screen shot pointing to an TPM issue.

"No" to Sygnus21's question. And thanks to you both for the heads up on other threads.
the odd thing i just noticed is that my old testng system wich was runing1909 has apparentlyupdated to 2004. On it, the Office 365 seems to be working but not smoothly.
The One with all the TPM errors is a new system (desktop) with tat Asus board in it. The old one is am older asus board too. The ONLY variables that come to mind are that the original updated to 2004 from 1909 while the new one as a clean install of Windows 10 Home ver 2004.
I might note that even on the Old one i have to press CTRL to force Outlook into Safe Mode. I just now found that out so i have not had time to trace down any added software as it had been my tester for some time it has had MANY different programs installed quite a few of which could be associated with office.

I also should add that in this copy of outlook (which is a business versions) I do have a couple of personal email accounts.
I have never had problems in the past running personal email in the business office 365 or even vice versa business email accounts running in the personal Office 365 since i have licenses for both.
I Do Know however, that i cannot INSTALL both the VBusines AND the Home version of Office on the same system . But having all the accounts working in one or the other doesn't seem to be a problem.

The TPM issues only seem to pop up on the Ver2004 when i try to run Office 365 and not when running other software as i had loaded all my usual tools and utilities first before getting around to loading Office 365 and hitting the TPM issue.

That's extremely odd as TPM is a "hardware" security feature and should have no effect on Office. I'm running Office 365 and have Intel's Platform Trust Technology enabled in my UEFI, and have no TPM issues.

Again, do you have anything to post showing an error pointing to a TPM issue??? What makes you think TPM???

BTW you can tell if you've got TPM by going to Device Manager and scrolling down to "Security Devices". If there's any type of TPM in use it'll show the device there....

Additionally you can check the TPM management module (type "tpm.msc" no quote marks in Run) to see if TPM is enabled. Post screen shot.

Additionally, TPM should not be affected by an OS change/upgrade unless the OS doesn't support it. Windows 10 most definitely supports both TPM and Intel Platform Trust Technology (a built in TPM on the motherboard accessed via the BIOS). Again, please state/show why you think the issue it "TPM" based?
