    Downloading Windows 10 using the Manual Installer. Can I shut down?


    Yes, hello people. I am currently downloading Windows 10 for my PC, but I want to rest and I am using a PC. I am asking if I can shut down my computer while the manual installer is active? And if so, will it reset to 0 if I turn my PC on again?

    best to leave the PC on and let it finish...are you performing a live update ? or do you intend burning a DVD or run from USB maybe ?......I don't think the download has a continue option, need to do in one go....I could be wrong, but best not to interrupt it and invite problems......can't you rest while your PC is on ! just turn the monitor off LOL

    Hahaha thanks for the tip, but my mother is a strict person, so I can't leave it on. Guess I'll have to figure it out.

If you have Windows Updates set to manual in "Services" does this mean that Windows will NOT automatically check for updates?
