So far i've tried: going to devices/typing and shutting it off, i've also tried renaming msspellsomethinghost and its .dll, neither worked so far, it spells checks in everything steam community forums, firefox, you name it. Even though I have it disabled in those other programs invidually, its forcing it for some reason. That red jagged line under things just annoys me for some silly reason.

Hi, a number of programs have their own spell checkers, which from your comments I think you know. Even the new Edge (Chromium based) does, apparently:

I'm sure you've disabled the spell checker as per this:
Turn On or Off Spell Checking in Windows 10
That gives the registry key and value, so you can check that is set appropriately.
My limited experience of Windows' spell checker is that it works in UWP apps and is not universal. Indeed, although the tutorial says 'Windows 10 includes a spell checking feature for when you type words anywhere in Windows 10.'

Do you have any other program installed that offers spell checking? E.g.Normally, it should work system wide.
In reality, it may not always work with 3rd party apps.

Any reason you're still using such an old build - 1703?
Just upgraded my CPu/motherboard from i5-7500 to ryzen 7 3700x, so had to format, and I use classic shell, as I dispise the windows 10 start menu and I wasn't sure if it'd still work if I updated it, so I been delaying it. I'll try those reg files, and do a reboot and see if it fixes it. So far the .reg files seemed to have worked. Thanks.
