where do you get System Builder's (OEM) license. Could i get that if i were selling it.Is there some requirement you need a ms account. I want to avoid that for privacy reasons
Most of the cheap product keys you see for sale that require you to download Windows are System Builder's OEM licenses. Also, any Windows 10 that comes packaged with a DVD is System Builder's OEM.

You do not need a MS account. Just do not connect to the internet during the Windows install process until after you are completely logged in to a local user account.

And, yes, you can uninstall the MS Office that comes with Windows 10.

I believe that offer expired at the end of June, but it apparently was legitimate---40 bucks for Win 10 Pro Retail.
    says 15 days left

PCWorld Software Store - Windows 10 Professional - 80% off MSRP

    it is genuine?

Seems to be. If I needed to purchase a Windows 10 license, that would be the one I would go with right now.

Hmmm.........I guess they extended that deal.

I haven't heard anyone say it isn't legit. Read the original thread mentioned above.

It's offered via some sort of special deal with PC World magazine.

You pay through Cleverbridge I think.

I know one guy who bought it. He says you can even get it on DVD if you want. The DVDs were supposed to start shipping yesterday--I assume they were delayed so the DVD will include the latest version of Windows.

The DVD seems rather dubious, though. The comments section of the ad claim that it is a full retail product key. But official DVDs in a Windows 10 product from Microsoft is only for System Builder's licenses. Full Retail Products from Microsoft come with USB flash drives. But it is also possible they are just creating their own DVDs as well. There is no difference between the System Builder's DVD or the full retail USB flash drive. It's the product key that determines the type of license.

I still would not hesitate to buy from the PCWorld store. That's still the best price from a nearly 100% guaranteed legitimate source.

    Hmmmmmmmmm...........

I see the same source is selling Win 10 Home for 30.

and Office 2019 for 79. I'm going to try to convince myself I shouldn't buy that, since my 2010 will go off support in a few months.

Dalchina is correct! Numerous posts both here and on many other sites describe in detail each step to take. Advise you read the complete "How To" on the description you follow as things change often but this worked fine as of a week ago. Of course, buying a copy from a retailer works just as well if you want the DVD.
