    Because sysprep kicks in without any "change-mind?" prompt, I was able to externally boot [Linux I think] and add DISABLED to the ending of sysprep so that it cannot be activated - until I'm good and ready to active it.

    It's a issue related to file permissions. Just change the ownership using Jeff's suggested method and it would work. If you have lots of files want to process, you'd better use the following tips:
