ASUS Laptop Won't Wake from Sleep Mode

Problem: about 80% of the time, my laptop won't wake up from sleep mode via keyboard press or mouse move/click. I seem to be missing many common features in power plan too, even after fresh Windows 10 install.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 (clean)
2. Updated all drivers
3. Replicated on multiple Windows 10 versions, updates
4. BIOS latest version
5. No USB devices attached, ever. Only USB-C power and bluetooth mouse
6. Disabled "fast startup" in control panel

sounds like a driver problem to me. chipset and/or GPU. Either that oe you are using a modified Windows 10 version...

Modified Windows version? What part of clean install did you not understand exactly?

it doesn´t matter if it is a clean install or not. I am talking about a modified ISO. If it is directly from Microsoft, ok.

It is directly from Microsoft download, not a modified ISO.

I had a similar problem with my desktop that has an ASUS motherboard. It turned out to be related to the Power Management settings of some of the devices that I could view in Device Manager.

I no longer allow Windows 10 to turn off the USB Root Hub devices to save power.
Try going through all the devices in Device Manager whose Properties have a Power Management tab. The USB hub, the network(s), etc.

Also in the cmd box,type in---powercfg /lastwake---and see if it gives any info.You can go through the numerous options by using---powercfg /help---

Thank you @JolanDeNef this worked and it's 2022. Was having this issue with Win10 and Win11 on this Asus ux430unr model. Linux Mint also worked
