New here, found the forum while searching for info on Win 10. Not a techie, but not computer illiterate, either :) Updated my older laptop to Win 10 last Sept, I don't use it a lot, but it seems to have no issues. Did my Alienware laptop at the same time, had issues, restored Win 7. Tried again in Nov., issues again, so back to 7. Don't dare attempt my wife's desk top, until I can show her my lappy is fine (she HATES! changes LOL)

I'll ask about my issues in the general forum, in a bit.

Howdy folks! So have been reluctantly returned to the world of windows due to a job layoff and the fact that government sites do not play well with non Microsoft programs or systems. Have been quite happy with Android.

Hung on to my xp netbook as long as possible until the jog hunting sites kept telling me I needed to update things like Java and then Java telling me it will no longer be supported on my system.... blah blah blah.

So now I have a shiny new Netbook Flex 10 running Windows 10 brand new from factory! Annnnd I am very disappointed. Have had to do full reset twice, lost windows store, got it working again by resetting the system time and date. Am disappointed that the windows do not resize to fit screen properly. Have to maximize a chat window in order to see the send button. Cannot get windows to "snap" to screen. Have to manually get on screen keyboard to show (windows phone and android were intuitive). Keyboard covers window being typed in. A onedrive upload took 73 hours to upload and after unlinking will not allow me to utilize the sd card as a repository. So onedrive is only accessible as online. Let's not get in the issue of how this pc was advertised as coming with a one year subscription to Office 365 which neither the manufacturer nor the vendor will honor.

Have already had multiple troubleshooting correspondence with Microsoft support, but end up locating the actual fixes myself via internet searches and reading forums.

So here I am, feeling like I need some battle secrets and strategies to deal with Microsoft programming.

I just built a box based on an Intel i7 5930K on an Asrock X99X motherboard.
It also has 32GB of ram and a EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti video card. For storage I have a 512GB Samsung 950 Pro m.2 SSD, a 500 GB Samsung SATA SSD, and two Western Digital Black 1TB 7200 HDD's.
