I know that I have been around here for a few days, but I have never formally introduced myself. I am an old Hippie, I am 58 years old, and I spent several years hitch hiking around the country and doing other crazy things. I have lived in teepees in the woods and I have also live in a wikiup and a yurt. I just recently got into computers, so I am at a point where everything is a new adventure. I really enjoy this site, I love the friendship and the information here. I am triple booting on a home made computer, I am running Windows 10 Redstone Preview, Linux Mint 17.3 and Ubuntu 15.10. I love the whole experience and I hope to be around this forum for a few more days.
Cool.. and welcome to the forums.

Oh god i did my usual trick and posted in the wrong place (i do that alot ) anyway .....

After a long time in console wilderness i have returned to pc gaming and these forums.

I was a long time user and poster over in the seven forums a good while ago where i helped a few and was helped by many :)

After recomending these forums over and over again in a tech help page im a member of on facebook i thought it was about time i joined up here myself once again.

I have found this place especially the tutorials section to be invaluable over the years and even managed to make some friends , so im back to learn more and hopefully help

    Cheers

Hello all. Joined this group on Nov 29th. I've been too lazy to introduce myself until now. I began using computers in late 1970's while in the U.S. Navy. Retired from U.S. Navy in 1980 after 21 years, then retired from a local refinery after 23.5 years. Now fully retired. I've been tasked by the family to take care of all the computers in this household - two desktops and 6 laptops/notebooks. This and other boards have been a God send for me, as I have gleaned much information from them. Thanks to all who supplies solutions to the questions that are answered. I do not do a lot of posting, but I do a lot of checking the boards for solutions.

Welcome, there's lots of us older but young in hart here. If your relatives are anything like mine you're probably working more than before retirement.
