    Hello,
have yet to upgrade to WinX but thought best to get a head start. Probably wait until this winter when it's cold outside.
No experience with Windows 8/8.1 - absolutely LOVE Windows 7. But hey WinX is free & I understand maybe the last MS upgrade I will never have to pay for.
Probably a little better on the hardware side than the soft, have fixed a number computers but never actually assembled one from scratch. Of course I mean buying the parts & putting it together, not pulling out a soldering iron. Although I've fixed a few PC parts with a soldering iron, most recently an old wireless mouse my sister was fond of (guess that's not really a PC part).

So I do plan on upgrading both Win7 PC's to WinX, the laptop first. Taking it slowly.
Also just purchased a gaming rig, not the newest or fastest but since I don't play games just really wanted a very powerful desktop so will never have to worry about that again.

The folks that manage these forums are absolutely the best. I started with VistaForums & migrated to SevenForums. Looking forward to TenForums

    Hello all, I'm Matt.

I teach disabled adults in the Dallas /Ft Worth area various computer skills depending on their skill level. I'm an avid sports fan and in the spring I chase severe weather.
