Lost boot from ssd ,now boots from old drive ,

    I played a similar game with an old laptop. It had 2 sata drives (1 HDD & 1 SSD, no NVMe), however; having 2 drives with an OS was problematic for a short while. I removed the older drive with the old OS and it booted fine to the new drive and reassigned C: to the new SSD.

    I did boot to bios and confirm the new SSD was recognized first, as mentioned above.
    It might be worthwhile to remove both of the other HDD's first, as also mentioned above.

    All fixed . I gave the drive (M2) a drive letter of s . Then I could select it in the bios to be the first boot device . Now it is drive C and all is good.. thanks

    Excellent and well done. You might consider using Macrium Reflect Free to make an image of C: for backup purposes and the old OS if it concerns you. Then pooch that extra OS info on the old drive.
