    Yes and I do appreciate that but at the same time there is a lot of info to read through and similar posts just don't have the time to read through everything....... but apologies nonetheless ;-)

    I used a local account and it activated fine (pressing skip 2x as you said) - the activation is linked to your hardware not your MS account I think. Anyway it worked for me and I'm still activated.
    Well you still need to clean install from an activated upgraded of Win 10.
