    "Lost" Folder

I have "lost" my Notepad folder. Each time I try just have folder title with blank white screen. Have feeling that I somehow moved it off the Desktop.

Appreciate assistance please. Must be using search facility incorrectly as cannot find answer

We're looking for a regular folder you had named 'Notepad' that was on your Desktop, right? If so, Press Winkey+X and click PowerShell to open a PowerShell window, then copy & paste the following command:
    Code:
    gci Notepad -directory -recurse
and that should list any folders named 'Notepad' anywhere under your user profile.

Where does that show, is it in Windows Explorer or File Manager?

    Lost Folder

    Thank you both for assistance.
I think I know what happened. When I pressed Notepad from tool bar icon I noticed what appeared to be a screenshot of the right-hand part of Notepad disappearing on left side of desktop. I must have inadvertently done this when I opened another folder for comparison.

How can I rectify this please?

I think that's a roundabout 'Yes' to my question. If Notepad is restoring off-screen, do the following: (you can try with an Explorer window first to get the hang of it)

    1. Launch Notepad
    2. Click its Taskbar icon so the windown has the focus
    3. Press Alt+Spacebar, then press M
    4. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to bring the window back into view.
    5. Press Enter when the window is where you want it
