Windows 10 uninstall

    @Torgy no it reverts back to crash dump page, then to repair page, is it possible to get a disk to reinstall Win7? have a friend who says he can do this for me. I realize it would go back to factory settings, at this point I dont care, he has the disk, just ot sure it is that simple

    Yes you can Peggy. I think you'll need what they call the OEM version of W7 disk to install. Somebody will correct me here if I'm wrong.
    Ask your friend what version he has, it should say so on the disk.
    Did you contact Dell re replacement disks?
    Your sticker on your laptop should be like this one. Check it's legible. Don't post a photo of it ! :)

    Good post, I'm thinking it might be just a mbr issue. Trouble is can these commands be used from the old fashioned F8 Recovery console. I'm very rusty now in this area, I thought you had to run 'em from W7 disk, or am I wrong (as usual)

    Just out of interest can you go here and enter your Service Tag. The Service Tag is the 7-character code usually found on the bottom or back of your device.

    i did go there but it says to contact techical dept, but cannot find where to ask for the disks :Pout of warranty
