    Thanx all,

I do not dispute you but, how did you arrive to that conclusion?

Yeah, apologies if that was not obvious, delete the existing partitions on the destination disk before starting...

You don't need to create one big partition, just leave the disk empty.
Well colour me intrigued. If the disk is empty i.e. no partitions how is it going to write the image ?

Macrium Reflect creates the partitions on the disk.

Macrium Reflect creates the partitions on the disk.
That's when you're restoring an image. The OP was asking about imaging and the target disk in this instance would be better of being one large partition.

I use this, make sure you select the correct disk. Right click on each partition select "delete" click apply at the top, right click on the empty space and select create. Then apply. http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-...n-manager.html

Christ almighty, have you even done this before?

Here you go, straight from the horse's mouth:

v5: How to clone a disk (Clone Disk, v5)

It is possible to delete and reconfigure any existing partitions or configure new partitions within Macrium Reflect, so there is no need to do this prior to the cloning process. However, in this tutorial, it is assumed that the new disk contains no partitions.

The OP is imaging a disk not cloning, they are completely different operations.
