    Full Drive

    Hi there,

I recently tried installing a program on my Pavilion dv7 (Windows 10 Home 64bit), and during the beginning of the installation I got the error "You do not have enough free space to install this program. Please free some space and try again." The drive I normally use, C, has close to 400 gigabytes left.

Before this, I've been getting a lot of notifications everyday saying that my E: drive (HP_TOOLS) is almost full. I feel like they are both connected, however there is a chance that it might be something else.

I have only been getting these notifications after I installed Windows 10, so how can I fix this?

    Thanks!

This is only a guess. Even though you have disc space left, you can still get an error message because of too many files in a drive root directory.
Check the root directories of your drives. I believe the limit is 2,048 files allowed in the root. This can be fixed by moving the files into a folder. Something may be saving files to the root directory.
