I've had two freezes within a month on Windows 10 Pro. In both times i was just browsing internet without any heavy background task. This is very sad, I never had a single freeze or BSOD with Windows 7 and same system, and my computer is on almost 24/7.

I gues only way to have stable PC is install Windows 7 back.

    My system is:

    CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K (100% stockm no OC:s)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX (i've seen same mobo in this thread someone else too?)
Memory: 8GB DDR3 (tested with Memtest86 several times, no errors)
Graphics Card: GTX 750Ti (Stock, no OC:s)

In my case freezes are really random, but still annoying. I realy need stable PC, so i ques only solution is to go back Windows 7.

    e: Sorry my bad english.
    same is happening to me

Try to plug out any USB devices you have and then plug them back in. It sounds weird but I had similar problems on two machines with different USB devices and both times it helped.

I did this too and i gave the control back very weird

Had exactly same problem as TS.
Downloaded last Intel Chipset driver for my Shuttle XPS (Windows 10 x64), fixed this problem for me so far. 3 days without lockups.

Do you have events related to this ?

I would recommand doing a driver verifier test : Driver Verifier - Windows 10 hardware dev and analyse the dump files with WhoCrashed afterward so you know what cause issues. Don't forget that u have to reset the verifier after you got the crash by booting in safe mode. You may have to do this a bunch of times untill you don't have problems anymore. Not sure if it will help but who knows. Maybe wait for someone else answers.

Windows 10 was an unstable mess for me until I completely reinstalled, not from any system reset, but by using the media creation tool and creating a USB boot installation. Ever since I did that, completely removing everything, W10 has been running like a dream. No doubt some more problems will crop up but for now this is the only way I could get things running smoothly.

Before doing this, neither sfc /scannnow or DISM commands would work.

I did a clean install too (not upgrade) .... it is improving (maybe with updates MS is pushing) but still not perfect as Win7 or Win8

[I have this problem as wellabout 10 days ago
I removed my USB external drive and changed my settings
so that the system never hibernates and the screen never sleeps.
I also removed the screen saver and background picture.
After having done these things the system has not frozen since and it is alomost 2 weeks now.
I will now try to add back each of these changes to try to pinpoint the cause.
    Good Luck
