    It might just be a problem with the mouse, since it is happening on two operating systems, both of which are clean-installs.

    Is it a generic wireless mouse, or do you have any product details such as the brand and model number that you could give to us? There could be an available driver update, or it's a known problem with certain versions of Windows.

    It's a Logitech AnyWhere MX. And i don't think so. Lemme check.

    He tried another USB mouse and had the same problem.

    Are you kidding me. All these years. It was an outdated driver. For some reason i thought it automagically downloaded the driver updates? Whatever. I thank you both very much. I couldn't have done it without you guys.
