Win 10 Start Menu > Recently added ... Inspect , Delete & Disable

    Hi,
Top left of built-in Windows 10 Start Menu is a place for "Recently added"
    1. Where in the registry these items are stored?
    2. Deletion should be easy right?
    3. Most important, how to clear the list and disable it from adding items again? Via .bat or .reg only?
    Cheers.

    Hey mate,

You could use Option Two below to turn off showing "Recently added" apps in your Start menu from Settings.

You could use Option Two below instead to disable it using a .reg file.

Hi amidsolo, have you checked @ Settings > personalization > start ?
You should be able to remove unwanted things from there.

    Hey mate,
    Hi,
So finally fixed, now we can disable and also hide Recently Added Apps via Registry?
I remember long time ago it was not possible since it was stored in the following location where touching was NOT advised:
    %LocalAppData%\TileDataLayer\Database\vedatamodel.edb
    Am I right?

    Correct.

Using the .reg file for the group policy would be best for that.

I mean this removing Recently Added Apps and Disable the whole feature itself was impossible in early Windows 10 Builds right?
That time this feature could not be done via Registry just via impossible very risky %LocalAppData%\TileDataLayer\Database\vedatamodel.edb right?
