    Went into PC Settings/Display/More Options and set the option to "Larger" and that fixed me right up! Start-menu text is now at least 2x as large as it was--perfect size, really. I love the left/right-click nature of the new start menu, too!

    Fine tune other text sizes by going to Desktop-right click/screen resolution/make test or other items larger or smaller...lots of nice options there, too.

    (Egads...I see others beat me to it...)
    Good to hear, folks. :)

    Tested: I only use the Start Screen - it was one of the first things I configured

    Regardless of Screen or Menu, the taskbar Navigation properties should work. I know that MS talked about disabling the corners for desktops
    Either disable them or leave them, not something in between.

    I understand this is an early preview, so MS has time to make Ten whole.
    Something in between is fine with me--I love choices and options. The way I understand it, in desktop mode you can still bring up a charm if you want it via a *keyboard shortcut.* Don't like charms? Don't use the keyboard shortcut. Makes perfect sense for the great majority of users who will not be using a touch UI, imo. I don't use the start screen at all--I really like the operation of the start menu--it could well be the best they've ever done. In desktop mode I cannot make any charms appear via any mouse clicks anywhere on screen--seems right to me.

    Follow up on Edwin's post #15. Partitions and Removable are displayed so if you have multiple partitions then it'll make a long list in the pane. I took out Homegroup, Library, Folders under This PC so I would not have to scroll up and down in navigation pane but with this: hmmmmm

    1- Control Panel->Home Group-> Leave Home Group
    2- Open Services and disable: Home Group Listener and Home Group Provider

    I am not sure if this has been posted. But switching from Start Menu To Start Screen. I have the problems as described in the screen shots. In the first screen I have to manually run Snagit:

    I'm guessing that's a bug with the installer, MS can't take into consideration all configs during a beta release, i suppose that's why they release both upgrade and ISO installers, have you tried the ISO Tony? you can upgrade from that.
    I am using a USB drive, made from an ISO. I tried disabling USB 3, uninstalled VMWare workstation (for networking) but still no go. Tried about 10 times now LOL. Disabled Classic shell and my fancy keyboard drivers. If I really wanted to upgrade I would wipe it but this has me curious. I will keep going till I figure it out.

    Bug or mysterious feature?

    Some people get notifications in the lower right. Some in the upper right. I haven't been able to find why.

    One person even said that he gets them in either location depending on the app. He used an example of the Timer app, saying that for him those notices display in the upper right; so, I immediately tried that app, since I have a "lower-right Win10," but they were in the lower right for me, killing that theory.

    It's not the edition of W10, and not whether it was an upgrade.
