Black Friday Weekend (2016) Game Recommendations

Can anyone help me out with suggestions? I'm a FPS, RPG (Witcher 3/ROTTR), Racing and Flight/Fighter Sim guy.

I'm thinking of adding Blood & Wine and hearts of Stone to Witcher 3. COD historically disappoints me a bit with console ports that still don't have DX12. But I'm thinking maybe Black Ops 3 (cheap) but likely pass on Infinite Warfare still a bit expensive for DX11 and the reviews I've seen.

How is Fallout 4 and GTA V? Blackrose, you have those, right? I know GTA V is constantly on Steam's most popular. But is it a lot of driving as opposed to shooting? I don't like game controllers and hate a lot of driving with a keyboard.

For those who don't have it yet, I noticed a huge discount on Doom.

    Sorry, just saw this.

Fallout 4 is pretty fantastic. There are more than enough side quests to keep you busy if you don't feel like rushing through the story and the story itself is pretty good (so far. 320 hours in but haven't finished it yet).

GTA V has a great story based single player mode which is about equal parts driving and shooting if you go straight through the story. You can also do things in story mode like play the stock market, which I found to be fun. There's also GTA Online, the multiplayer section, which I've spent most of my time on lately. It's challenging, but has a ton of various modes (races, stunt races, PVP deathmatches etc.) that can be a lot of fun. If you're into playing with randoms, there are also things like motorcycle clubs or companies that you can form or join that have their own separate missions that can bring in tons of money and XP. You will run into modders/cheaters on GTAO occasionally, but R* has done a decent job with the banhammer lately.

I tend to mostly play GTAO with friends, but I will sometimes pop into public freeroam for things like challenges (Fly lowest to the ground for the longest distance, longest bail from a land vehicle etc.) which pit you against the others in the session for bonus cash.

I just looked it up and I'm up to 997 hours and 27 minutes in GTA V, so obviously I think it's worth paying for. hahaha

    - I bought the Oblivion pack from Steam, bargain price..
    - and still eminently playable.. :)

    - was toying with the idea of getting Witcher 3 pack..
    - don't know if I can commit the time, though..
    - some of these games seem to take forever to complete.. (- as if that were the aim..* )

    - bought Wolfenstein for the Xbox One as well..
    - I need to train harder with the controller, obviously..!!

*- I've put a ridiculous amount of time on Skyrim and Fallout4..

OK, thanks guys. Are you experiencing any game play or graphics issues in Fallout 4? I've been reading a mixed bag on performance. I know it's an older rendering engine but are there any issues getting in the way of enjoying the game? Given its popularity I would think no.

BugMeister - I think Blackrose might agree, the graphics in Witcher 3 are stunning. Don't think there are many games (DX 11 or 12) that match it.

So I got GTA V and just started it. I'm picking the red one :)

The only issues I've had with Fallout 4 are some minor texture glitches now and then. Also, framerates take a hit when you get to Boston, but not badly enough that it makes the game unplayable. With my 1080 and 6600K I think the lowest I've seen them go in that area is around 48 FPS.

    Oh, that's not bad, thanks.
