I bought one year XBOX Gold, it cost me 68.99 Canadian including Tax. I grabbed Dead Space and Lords of the Fallen. I get 30 Gig of OneDrive space with it too that's nice. Forgot about that bonus.

Sounds good, almost identical price to over here :)
Now you just need time to play all these free games every month

I bought the 1TB version so I have lots of storage space for games.

I really do not care. Never saw a need for such a device. It is probably a pure waste of time.

Maybe they think that Gamers are smarter than ordinary computer users.
At least they don't want to waste people's time and that is a good thing.

Since Windows10, the Xbox One is a slightly different animal..
    - it can do a lot more than just play games - which it does brilliantly, BTW..

    - you've got access to OneDrive, which is very useful..

and also, with Kinect - you've got Skype at your fingertips - it functions perfectly..
The Xbox acts as an extra terminal in the home, not just for media, which it also handles amazingly, BTW..
I've had Skype in Xbox One running in the study, while working at the PC - it's a great way to communicate..

    - there's an Xbox One app in development which allows it a wireless connection via continuum, which sounds intriguing

I've been playing around with the XBOX App on my PC. It lets me remote in and stream games to the PC and play them from the PC. It's pretty cool, like remote desktop, but slightly different. I haven't actually tried to play a game that way yet. Every time I think about doing it, I get side tracked on something else, lol.

I went in and signed up for the XBOX rewards yesterday. Takes a day or two to get setup, according to the message on screen.

At some point I need to go in and write down my remote device codes so I don't have to do the setup from scratch, if I have to do a reset for some reason.
