    Why DIRECTX 12


    Stardock Magazine has a really good piece on why DIRECTX 12 is a good thing, especially for gamers. Looks like you have to be registered at Stardock to see it unfortunately. But, one of the links in the article points to this Youtube video which shows what DIRECTX 12 is capable of.

I have a GeForce GTS 450 card. No reason to change that. Some year ago I had on my PC (W10 Pro 64 bit) directX 11.2 installed. With this card it had no sense to upgrade to directX 12. With a certain app I get now the message: no directX installed...
I am trying to buy some Telltale games from the MS Store, but it doesn't let me buy them as there is no green tick against the DirectX 11 requirement, even though I have DirectX 12 installed? Thanks.

I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 and everything's ok but my dxdiag says directx 11.2? I have the latest Nvidia W10 driver for my Geforce 610 (353.62), all fermi will have DX12 support and Windows update even updated it shortly again, causing some issues...

I recently installed windows 10 from windows 7 on my laptop. However, I see that after running dxdiag I have DirectX 11.1 instead of 12. I thought Windows 10 is supposed to come with DirectX 12? What is wrong here?
