Xbox 360 gamepad does a B Button Pause after the Win 10 "1511" update

    Hi,

I'm having a Xbox 360 controller issue on Windows 10 PC after I did the "1511" major update on Nov 12th.

In Dungeon Hunter 5, it makes my gamepad do a B button "Pause"... pressing B Button a second time un-pauses and then the regular B button command.

I ran joy.cpl and it shows all gamepad controller buttons working fine.

Any idea what's going on ? Is a new Xbox 360 controller driver needed ?

    Thanks

Sounds like the mapping functionality in game might be the issue, have you checked controller mapping in game?

I do not know how to do that, but I have submitted a trouble ticket to Gameloft (the makers of Dungeon Hunter 5), and they have referred it to their Tech department. Still no word from them - other than "we are investigating".

It just seems a little suspicious that gamepad was working fine, then I did the Win 10 update to "1511", and then got the B button pause.

I'm downloading it now to test it out, i'll post back with results.

Edit: turns out my PC really doesn't like mobile games, the sound was all garbled and menu's were unresponsive, no key binding options though, I'm guessing it was designed to be used with touch screens and gamepads, albeit, not yours in this case, it's definitely a game issue, whether the game got corrupted after the update or just a general glitch, DXinput wouldn't have been touched in any way by the OS otherwise you'd have the same issue in every game you use the pad.
