    XBOX One Controller Not Vibrating

I bought an XBOX One controller with cable for Windows from Amazon. When I plugged it in, I hear the new device recognition tone but nothing else. Supposedly, the correct driver is part of Windows 10 and nothing else was needed. But it has never vibrated with any game. I've tried updating the driver, even tried it on another pc with Windows 10 and no luck. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem and a solution. Thanks.

I was having that issue for a while. Uninstalling the driver and then installing the ones for 7/8.1 on this page fixed it for me: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-o...ntroller-to-pc

Thanks. Yes, I've tried installing that 7/8.1 driver a few times. I uninstalled/deleted the 10 driver (10.0.10240.16384) and then installed the 7/8.1 one. But every time I plug the controller in, I check the device manager and apparently, it reinstalls the 10 driver automatically. Not sure how to stop that.

I chatted with XBOX Support and was told to install batteries (which shows how clueless she was). Then I was told to update the firmware. But you need the console to update it (which I don't have). But I haven't seen anyone mention that they had to update the firmware to get the rumble to work...
