    Hi,

Yep. I mentioned this before here.

I also export the drivers to a dedicated folder after every driver update using either:

    Command line Admin:

    Code:
    Dism /online /export-driver /destination:D:\Drivers
Change D:\ to whatever you fancy.

    Or Powershell Admin:

    Code:
    Export-WindowsDriver -Online -Destination D:\Drivers
Of course you need to create the "Drivers" folder first.

If you do not run the update from setup.exe then a %Windir\Lastgood folder (or Lastgood tmp) gets created. This allows you to rollback the driver to the previous version.
If you're happy with the current latest one you can delete his folder too.

This not only pertains to Realtek updates but to others drivers as well.

    Cheers,

Some good tips there fdegrove, thanks :)

Yes I know it pertains to other drivers as well, I was just looking at my long list of Intel RAID drivers. But they are only small.

Hey Guys, can you please explain what is the difference between:
    * High Definition Audio Codecs R2.80 (from Realtek site)
    * 8004_PG454_Win10_TH_RS_Win8.1_Win8_Win7_WHQL.zip

    Is it the same package?

    They're the same.

    Most important differences:
    1. FINALLY Realtek have updated their downloads on their website.
    2. Much easier to use the Realtek link, as it is an .exe file. Just download it, click on it, and follow instructions.

P.S. I'm going to use the one from the Realtek website.
