    Hi,

Alternatively, fdegrove is suggesting this one, though I don't know why since it's the same Realtek version number and aimed at Inspiron 5445/5545 models.
They all share the same chip so it doesn't matter.

Ultimately, you can try using the MS HD audio driver instead of Realtek's.
That's what I'd suggest as well.

    Cheers,

@NovHak , @fdegrove I've tried everything that you guys told and and everything that I've found on the internet, looks like it doesn't work
There's one last thing that I'd like you guys to help me with if you want to. Where can I find the MS HD audio driver? I can't find it for win 10, only for 7 and 8/8.1
Thank you for your help, guys! :)

It's included in the OS. You have to start the device manager, right-click Realtek High Definition Audio, properties, driver tab, update driver. There you have to explicitly choose MS' driver from a list. If you don't find it from that point I will go further into the procedure later.

I've successfully installed it but the mic still doesn't work. Anyway, I'll try with another pair of headphones when I find some. I really hope it will work. Thank you so much!

You could try reinstalling the Realtek driver and changing some parameters in the Realtek control panel, such as in the advanced device parameters, having all entry jacks considered as different recording devices. Then look at your recording devices again, at the bottom right. You can reenable the automatic prompt on jack plugin, in case it's not enabled.

@asturias7 I've been listening to build 7989 for a couple of hours now. I'm finding a bit difficult to judge soundwise, there's absolutely nothing wrong with them but it's probably best to say that to me the sound is a bit unrefined compared to build 7986.
Best to try them out for yourself mate, it's easy enough to switch back if you don't like them.

I've been listening to some music for a couple of hours... safe to say I don't hear much of a difference on my system.
I'll give it a go for a bit and stick with this, if not I'll roll back.

Updates are coming faster then hot cakes, even if the latest one is not good, by the time u wanna roll back there will be another version out.

i just updated to 86 yesterday, now 89 is out. I don't even have enough time to test the current driver before another version is out.
