i can't even find 7982 on there either
Hello, I have a problem with audio on my Dell Inspiron 5547 (win 10 pro 64)
So I've installed the latest drivers of Realtek Audio Manager for my windows and I can't use the microphone on my headphones it simply doesn't detect it, it only uses the laptop's mic but it's very quiet too.
It worked just fine (both the headphones and the mic on them) on my old Winsows 8.1
What could I do to solve the problem so I can switch from my laptop's mic to my headphones mic?
Also if it matters, I'm using the apple earbuds, the ones that came with iPhone 5
Thank you!
Tony if you want build 7982 just go to the Microsoft Update Catalog. See the first post in this thread. Or click on this link Microsoft Update Catalog
The page opens up arranged like a spreadsheet. All the columns have a header, click on the one that says Last Updated and the latest driver will appear at the top of the column. This should be version 6.0.1.7982.
I downloaded it from Softpedia
Download Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.7982 for Windows 7, Windows 7 64 bit, Windows 8, Windows 8 64 bit, Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 64 bit, Windows 10, Windows 10 64 bit
when i downloaded it chrome said it was a virus, but i extracted it, scanned it and installed it. No issues. I noticed the software package was updated though.
