    Choppy video playback.. WIn8.1 and Win10(build 10130)..

I seem to be having an odd issue with video playback.. Netflix. When I installed Win8.1(Clean) and performed all of the required updates the play back went from perfect to jittery. The movie will work fine for a few minutes(about 4) and it just starts to go jittery/choppy.

I also have had the same issue with build 10130. I re-installed the AMD drivers 14.12 and the issue still occurs.

    Any thoughts
    TIA

    anything in task manager?

I don't have the issue, but I have noticed when I play videos that windows indexer and defender have a lot of disk activity, this has only started recently

*this is on 8.1 for me

Avast has a new Beta out that is compatible with Windows 10. Have you tried that yet Jeff?

    NEW AVAST 2015 R3 Beta 2 (2015.10.3.2220)

I use it in Win 7 and I might try it in Win 10's next build, whenever that may be. I use AIS and this new version is supposed to play well with Defender. I will see.
