Strange HDD sound after new SSD

    One other possibility.
    In Advance settings for your power plan, turn off sleep for disks, set it on never. It may be going to off mode and when accessed (any drive) it wakes up and goes thru it's POST routine when it checks itself all over again.

    You are at the right place, just click on down arrow until you get to 0 (zero).

    Restart just in case it doesn't take effect immediately. Let it sit on idle 15 minutes or so, it shouldn't make startup noises any more.
    I would also check the health of that disk. You can download test utility for your disk's make from here Download Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Tools Tools for Windows - MajorGeeks
    It may also be badly fragmented, this de-fragmenter is my favorite Download Free Disk SpeedUp - Defrag Disk for Best Performance | Glarysoft
