Win10 AU: ASUS Xonar and Xbox 360 wireless controller driver problems

So my computer updated to the AU last night and this seems to have broken compatibility with my sound card (Asus Xonar DG), and my wireless 360 controller. I tried re-installing the Xonar drivers for Windows 10 and it didn't work. I couldn't find any wireless 360 drivers for Win10 because I guess it's supposed to Just Work on Windows 10?

Other things I tried that didn't work:

-Rebooting

-Rolling back to yesterday's version of the OS (wouldn't let me)

-Refreshing Windows

-Resetting Windows, then reinstalling the drivers

-Physically removing and then re-installing my sound card

-Attempted to restore from a system image I made last week, but unknown reasons it would not allow me to do this

I'm pretty sure the issue is driver-related which is why I'm posting it here. I'm more concerned about the sound card as my mobo's onboard sound is borked. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to solve it?

I recall another thread a week or two ago about an ASUS Xonar sound card not working. If I remember correctly, the user removed it and went back to the Realtek on board sound.

But, if the Xonar isn't compatible with the AU, its up to ASUS to update their drivers so it is compatible.
One other thought, if the on-board is not disabled in the BIOS, the update could have enabled it and cause a conflict with the Xonar.

I know basically nothing about the Xbox 360 wireless controller, but I would try uninstalling it in the Device Manager, then restart Windows and see if its detected and reinstalled. Don't just uninstall it in the device manager then search for new hardware as it can install but have the same problem.

(as a side note, I used to live in KC).

Thanks! I would just revert to the onboard sound but unfortunately it's broken - I mean I literally zapped the onboard sound chip somehow when installing my GPU. That's the only reason I switched to a discrete sound card.

I'll try your suggestion regarding the 360 pad.
