    New PC and motherboard drivers

Hi. On Monday my new PC been delivered and cant wait. Its a new windows 10 pc so should I install mother board drivers first or should I just activate it and leave it a loan. Windows 10 will already be installed too and windows 10 installs drivers any way. Just don't want to brake it on first day. hehe.

Hi, I think you're saying it already has Win 10 installed. Good you're aware Uncle MS in general looks after your PC's drivers. As such, if it works, don't manually update them.

You may well find there will be some windows updates due- the latest one was very large, and many have had problems with it hanging when downloading.

Hope I can persuade you by starting with best practice.. strongly recommended here. From the outset.. before you make any other changes or sthg breaks- create your first disk image.

Creating disk images lets you restore Windows and all your disks and partitions to a previous working state, quickly and probably without technical help.

    You can recover from:
    - a failed disk drive (restore to a new one)
    - ransomware (which encrypts your disk)
    - user error
    - unrecoverable problems from failed updates to problem programs
    - unbootable PC (hardware faults aside)

Images also act as a full backup- you can extract files too.

You can even use images to help you move more easily and quickly to a new PC.

Imaging can even help you sleep at night knowing you have a second chance if things go wrong.

Many here recommend Macrium Reflect (free) as a good robust solution and more reliable than some others. It’s
    - more feature rich
    - more flexible
    - more reliable
than Windows Backup and Restore system images.

It's well supported with videos, help and a responsive forum.
