    micro sd formatting help

i have a 16GB micro sd card that used to work with windows 7, but ever since i switched to windows 10 it hasn't been.

when i open up "This PC" the device icon shows up with the (:U) extension, it also does not list the storage capacity, when you look in the properties of the flash it says the capacity is 0 bytes.

when I open up "Computer Management" -> "Disk Management", I am able to find my disk but it does not have a letter assigned to it and has a 2048GB capacity. it also says it is "Un-allocated".

this is very frustrating and i hope somebody can help me resolve this issue.

If it had a Drive letter assigned to it, and putting it into the Windows 10 computer is causing issues, you may have to use the Command Window to fix the drive, or use a Linux Live DVD.

It may have been corrupted ? or does it still work in win7 PC's just fine? ( the card isn't locked is it? )

You didn't put it in a Windows Phone did you?

Assuming the Data if any on it is not needed you could try the SD Association's Formatting Tool V.4
