Morning Mike. It's 12:3o in the afternoon here. I have the day off today, because it's Whit Monday here(one of the few church holidays in all parts of Germany).
What I've been telling people all along, but still a good article for SSD oldies, that stick to old(often false) information, and specially SSD newbies reading old SSD articles:
Don't Waste Time Optimizing Your SSD, Windows Knows What Its DoingSolid-state drives aren’t anywhere near as small and fragile as they used to be. You don’t need to worry about wear, and you don’t need to go out of your way to “optimize” them. Windows 7, 8, and 10 automatically do the work for you.

Now back to my opinion:
You should really only need Samsung Magician, to keep the SSD's firmware(controller and such) updated, and so you can see the SMART values.
Keep your fingers away from the OS Optimization section, no matter how tempting, it looks. They are all outdated/useless tweaks that can actually hurt performance.
Also I have found that RAPID Mode effects some UWP/modern apps negatively, such as Mail & Calendar's tile stop refreshing.
I have installed this last update.
Wondering about firmware updating.
Any advantage in doing this?
