    Please help cant format Pendrive RAW partition


    I was using windows media creation tool, then while at 70% it got stuck and corrupted my pendrive.
    So far I have tried the following:-
    1. Diskpart (Both GUI and CMD)
    2. chkdsk (doesnt work for RAW)
    3. something like low level formatting
    4. Bunch of free software like Aiomi, partition wizard etc
    5. Same steps on Safe Mode too

    Try Diskpart again, but before you use any other commands on this pendrive, SELECT the drive then use the following two Diskpart commands on it.

    CLEAN
    CONVERT MBR

    I wish you luck with it but when these flash drives come to end of life they either go read only or show up as raw.

    bro i did, it gets some semaphore error with Clean command.
    It says exactly what you mean, but even restarting I get the same error.

    It sounds like it is dead....
    its only a 2 year old, cant go to service center.
    Depending on the manufacturer and the warranty, you may be able to get a replacement sent to you. Sandisk agreed to do that for this SD card owner....

    Sandisk wants me to send the card back for replacement howerver given that I can't wipe the data I do not want to send it back
    MicroSd Card - cannot format but can read

    ... and a bit later said...
    They agree to replace but I have to break card in half , take photo and send, kind of silly but I guess it prevents fraud

    let forget pendrive problem
    is there any way to format windows from a partition within the HDD
    I wanna format pc but I dont have a PenDrive or a DVD

    You can format inside windows but cant format the system drive ie windows disk disk manager can do it or right click on the drive and choose format

    I meant reinstall windows.

hey there, can anybody please tell me why I can't format a normal data partition in Windows 10TP? It goes through the whole normal procedure and then gives me an error stating "Windows cannot complete the procedure". Even logged in as Administrator...
