    Do you have a link?
Is this a Microsoft driver update or Realtek?

I'm currently using an old Realtek driver v8210 as this is actually working almost properly.
I still hear occasional pops and crackles on both rear motherboard and front panel connections.

I think this motherboard (Z370 for Intel CPU) generation is just broken with the exact same issues across all manufacturers using the ALC1220 codec.
I've had an Asus board and a AsRock Taichi and both had the same problems. I've tried multiple different speakers and headphones so I'm pretty certain it's this board generation.
Some people say it's something to do with Nvidia, but I've tried drivers all the way back to 36x.xx era without resolution.
Realtek are silent on the matter as are AsRock and most other board manufacturers playing the "blame the other guy" game.

I didn't have any issues with my Gigabyte z170x board, I'm pretty sure that used ALC1150 if I recall correctly.

Might be time to just get myself a sound card such as the Xonar DGX and be done wasting any more time as it's pretty clear there's unlikely to be a fix coming with a new board always out.

    .
Did you try installing the Microsoft HD Driver instead of the Nvidia one ? I have found the Nvidia one also cause issues with my monitors waking from sleep properly too , M$ one ain't perfect either but I have way less issues now ,since getting that tip on the EVGA Forums.

seems to be issues with new version of asus sonic studio from windows store.

it updated and nahimicsvc32.exe started crashing repealty and was passing debug dmp file location to clipboard causing clipboard to be useless. because I couldnt copy and past anything in docs/notepade because it would pass the dmp file location to docs instead.

I was using august nahimic drivers from windows catalog
I had to switch to july version instead the crashes and clipboard issue went away.

I posted this in case someone else is having this issue.
Do you have the link where I can download the July Version....I am having the same issues for the last couple days
    Thanks

Exactly. In the past when I had, they were deleted as forum rules here exclude us from posting 3rd part links... for those who still don't know how things work around here. Just saying.

I've tried 8541 8549 8551, all resulted in random crackling sound when I listen to music or windows will tell me that enhancements need to be disabled when I view my sound devices. I'm using Windows 10 1803/ 1809, ASRock B350 with the 1220 codec.

In the end, I just stuck back to the default 8067.
